Dolmabahçe Palace
Situated in the Beşiktaş district on the European shore of the Bosphorus, Dolmabahçe Palace served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856 to 1922. With its elegant architecture and ornate interiors, it reflects the final era of Ottoman splendor.
Istanbul Naval Museum
One of the most important maritime museums in Türkiye, the Istanbul Naval Museum houses around 20,000 artifacts, including royal boats, maritime equipment, and historical documents. It offers a deep insight into the naval history and culture of the Ottoman and Republican periods.
Ortaköy Mosque
Officially known as the Grand Imperial Mosque of Sultan Abdülmecid, this mosque was built in 1856 and stands gracefully beside the water in Ortaköy Square. With its elegant design and Bosphorus backdrop, it’s one of the city’s most photographed landmarks.
Rumelian Castle
Built by Sultan Mehmed II in 1451–1452 before the conquest of Constantinople, Rumelian Castle dominates the European shore with its mighty walls and towers. It remains a powerful symbol of Ottoman history and architectural mastery.
Emirgan Park
One of Istanbul’s largest public parks, Emirgan Park is famous for its tulip gardens and scenic walking paths. Since 2005, it has hosted the annual International Tulip Festival, transforming the park into a colorful sea of flowers every April.
