Yalova City

Yalova is a city located in northwestern Turkey, near the eastern coast of the Sea of Marmara. Yalova has several tourist attractions, such as the “Yalova Atatürk Mansion” used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the modern Turkey, during his visits to the city. The city is famous for its hot springs in Termal district.

Bursa City

Bursa lies in the northwestern part of Turkey near the Sea of Marmara, about 20 km inland. The Ottomans, who started as a small emirate in the countryside just east of Bursa, took control of their first major city, Bursa. As such, it served as the first capital city of the Ottoman Empire, from 1326, when it was captured from the Byzantines, to 1365, when the capital was moved to Edirne in European Turkey, as sultans started to turn their attention to Europe. Today, with a population of more than 2,500,000, Bursa is the fourth largest city in Turkey after Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. It is famous for its peach, chestnut, and silk.

Mount Uludag

Uludağ is a mountain in Bursa Province, Turkey, with an elevation of 2,543 m. It is a popular center for winter sports such as skiing, and a national park of rich flora and fauna. Summer activities, such as trekking and camping, also are popular.

The Grand Mosque of Bursa (Ulucami)

Bursa Grand Mosque or Ulucami is a mosque in Bursa. Built in the Seljuk style, it was ordered by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I and built between 1396 and 1399. The mosque has 20 domes and 2 minarets.

Inkaya Old Tree

Inkaya -a huge centuries- old (approximately 600 years) plane tree with an open-air café sheltered by its deep shadow, on the foothills of (and just off the road to) Uludağ.

Cumalıkızık Ottoman Village

Cumalıkızık, with its 700 year history is nearly as old as the Ottoman state. The narrow alleys where no motor vehicles could enter and the old houses, which are among the best examples of Ottoman civil architecture. The villagers typically dress themselves in traditional attire and make their own breads as their forefathers did, leading a lifestyle similar to that of the Ottoman era. Their neighborhood relationships, as well as their reception of the visitors, reflect the traditional Turkish hospitality.
